What are custom tags?
Custom tags system is a flexible framework for creating and working with tags that accurately reflect the content and needs of each client who use TrollWall AI. The system allows for:
Creating and naming your own tags,
Choosing a color for each tag for easier navigation,
Selecting social accounts within your subscription the tags should apply to,
AI-based automated tagging.
Key features
Creating your own tags: Go to Settings > Tags > Create to create your own tags. You can create as many tags as you'd like to. You will be asked to name your tag and to select which content type they should apply to (Post, Comments, Social inbox):
Subscription admins: Tags you create can be assigned to all accounts within your subscription.
Other users: Tags you create can only be assigned to accounts you have access to.
You can also create a tag in the comment view, by clicking on the Create tag icon below the comment:
Editing previously created tags: Go to Settings > Tags > the particular tag > Settings to modify the name, color, applicability and other properties of a previously created tag:
Selecting social accounts the tag should be applied to: Go to tag settings (see above) and select the Social accounts pane to make your selection:
Filtering by tags: After adding custom tags to your posts, comments or messages, you can filter by them. To do so, go to the Filter button in the top right corner. A pane will open and you will be able to see your previously created Comment tags and Post tags available as filters:
AI-based automated tagging: Our AI can be applied to automatically add your custom tags to content. To make it more accurate, you should describe the tag and specify when and how it should be applied. To do so, go to tag settings and add a description for AI-tagging. The more specific your description is, the better the AI performs:
Automatic AI-based tag assignment currently only works for Messenger conversations. In the Comments tab, tags can only be applied manually.
Disabling tags: Should you no longer wish to use a tag, you can disable it. Disabled tags can be still viewed but not applied:
Author tags
Unlike other tags, an author tag stays with the person, not the content — it applies across everything that author writes on the account. Use author tags to build up knowledge about your community over time: recurring complainers, loyal supporters, journalists, known troublemakers, potential customers, or anything else that matters to you.
To tag an author, open any comment, click through to the author, and use the Author tags section in the author panel to add or remove tags. Removing a tag works the same way, via the × button next to it.
To make a tag available for authors, open its tag settings and enable the Authors option, alongside the existing Posts / Comments / Conversations options.
Only tags with the Authors option enabled can be applied to authors. Existing tags have this option switched off by default, so your author panel stays uncluttered — enable it on the tags you actually want to use on people. Newly created tags have it on by default. Tagging authors requires the same permission as tagging comments on that account.
Once you have authors tagged, you can filter the Comments view by author tag: open the Filter panel and select from the Author tags section, next to the existing Comment tags and Post tags, to narrow the list down to comments written by people carrying those tags. This section only appears once at least one tag has the Authors option enabled.
